After relocating to Omokoroa, I became a member of the photography society in the area. It comprises a fantastic community of individuals with diverse skills and delightful personalities, from whom I am gaining a wealth of knowledge.
Every month, we focus on a specific theme and are required to capture photos based on that theme. This gives us the chance to showcase our work during our monthly meeting, where they are reviewed in a supportive and constructive manner – a fantastic method for learning.
Our theme this month is liquid. So I'm busy trying all sorts of creative things to try and create something special. It's not easy!
So far, my favourite is this picture of a hibiscus flower from my garden. I displayed the photo on my iPad and placed a glass dish with olive oil droplets mixed with a hint of detergent on top of it to create split globules.
